Holy cow… its been almost two months since I last posted. I’ve been incredibly busy with work, and the holidays, and a GIANT project for the local Humane Society. Luckily that’s been more or less wrapped up, and now that the holidays are done and over with, my goal is to get myself organized and get caught up on all the blog posts that I’m behind. There certainly are enough of them waiting in the queue.
These shots are from an afternoon spent out at a local horse rescue called Reilly’s Ranch. If and when I am ever able to live out in the country, I really want to adopt one of their horses. You know, in addition to the alpacas and the camel…

Reilly’s Ranch is run by a lovely gal by the name of Amy, and her husband. She wasn’t there when I went out to take the shots so her husband showed me around. It was cold and windy, and my hands were frozen by the time I was done, but I had a wonderful time getting to meet all the fantastic horses.

Amy’s place reminded me a lot of my own house, though with horses instead of dogs. Her husband gave her a strict limit on the number of horses they could take in, which she promptly blew past without a second thought. And many of the rescues have now become permanent residents.

A big thank you to Amy and her hubby for showing me around and introducing me to all the sweet horses.
